Welcome -Merry Christmas!

Unto us a Child is born. It is the real reason that we celebrate Christmas.

I love this time of year, don’t you? I cherish memories of when my children were small, and the teachable moments of helping them understand the birth of Christ and the real meaning of Christmas.

As they grew up, one thing I used to tell them was, “you will have to make your faith yours.” The journey of growing in our faith is a life long process. We each have to learn and grow and trust God for ourselves. No one can do it for us.

Prayer is a lot like that. No one can do it for us. Sure others can pray for us. And it’s good to have prayer partners, but our own intimacy with God in conversation, is how we grow and learn to depend on him.

Speaking of prayer, do you know a newlywed couple? Are you a newlywed? Do you know someone who’ll become engaged this Christmas? You can help start them off to a fulfilling lifelong journey of praying for their marriage and spouse from the outset.

Newlyweds who pray for their marriages will see that the best way to keep harmony in their marriage is through prayer.

Prayer can be a foreign concept to even professing Christians simply because it can seem awkward. Learning the art of  prayer need not be hard.

The Newlywed Book of Prayers, The Husband and Wife’s Versions, offer twelve topics, lots of scripture, and sample prayers for getting off on the right track. You can read more on the book page. Books

If you agree that marriages, especially Newlyweds, will benefit from prayer, like this page below, share it on Pinterest, or any of the Social Media sites at the bottom.

Wishing you and your family a most blessed Christmas as you celebrate the birth of Christ. May the focus be that, God sent His one and only Son, that who ever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life..” ~ John 3:16
