Big news! I’m officially launching my Whole-Food, Plant-Based Coaching program!
This is for anyone ready to eat better, feel better, and build healthy habits that actually last.
Did you know that the foods you eat affect your body?
Our bodies thrive on nutritious foods that are unprocessed. Sadly, fast-food is now a way of life for many people.
Fast-food while convenient— has little to no nutrition for our body. Why then do people eat it so often? The lure of fatty, salty, or sugary foods tempts our taste buds and—they’re actually addicting!
According to Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr, MD, “The high-fat American diet is responsible for an epidemic of coronary artery disease. A plant-based diet with less than 10% fat will prevent coronary disease from developing, halt the progress of existing disease, and even reverse the disease in many patients.”
Processed foods are loaded with salt which contribute significantly to chronic dieases like heart disease, hypertension, and stroke. Dr. T. Colin Campbell, PhD emphasizes obtaining sodium naturally from whole plant foods and avoiding refined salt.
Sugar is the leading cause of obesity in adults and children.
The added sugars consumed in unhealthy foods like baked goods and sugary drinks contribute to several diseases and health conditions— such as type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, heart disease, increased blood pressure, and even cancer.
Kick the box, and cook from scratch. The more you cook from scratch and use less processed, the more control you have over the sugar, salt, fat, and anything else you want to avoid in your food.
